Suprematism

A Russian avant-garde art movement founded by Kazimir Malevich in 1913. Malevich wrote: “Under Suprematism I understand the primacy of pure feeling in creative art. ” Malevich’s Suprematist works featured simple geometric forms painted in a limited range of colors. Other members of the Suprematist group included Aleksandra Ekster, El Lissitzsky and Lyubov Popova.
