School of Paris

A loosely defined group of international artists who lived in Paris from 1900 until about 1940 and worked in a variety of styles.  Artists often associated with the School of Paris include Chaim Soutine, Marc Chagall, Amedeo Modigliani, Léonard Tsuguharu Foujita, Constantin Brâncuși and Jacques Lipschitz.
