A type of fritware pottery produced in northwestern Iran during the Safavid period. The decoration varies. SomeĀ examples have designs in black slip under turquoise glaze. Others are blue on white in imitation of Chinese porcelain, while some show the influence of Ottoman polychrome Iznik ware.
