Documenta

An ambitious contemporary art exhibition held every five years in Kassel, Germany. Documenta was founded by artist and professor Arnold Bode in 1955. Over the decades, the quinquennial exhibition had been influential in exposing audiences to Minimalism, conceptual art, performance art , site-specific art, and other contemporary trends. Documenta takes place in various venues in Kassel; the primary fixed venue is the Fridericianum Museum. Web resources here and here.
