Craftsman

An American style in architecture and interior design that empha-sized natural materials, functionality, and artisanal workmanship. Inspired by the British Arts and Crafts movement, the Craftsman style emerged in the U. S. between 1900 and 1929. The name was coined by the furniture designer Gustav Stickley, who published a monthly magazine, The Craftsman. Web resources here and here.
