A movement founded in 1915 by Vladimir Tatlin (1885-1953) and Alexander Rodchenko (1891-1956). Constructivism developed in the Soviet Union in the years immediately after the October Revolution and aimed to reflect modern industrial society and promote socialist ideas.  It had far-reaching influence on 20th-century graphic design, sculpture, architecture, film, theater and fashion.
