Could you imagine applying for a job and the employer says to you, “Okay friend, you will be making a great salary, you get free vacations, you’re sort of famous, but you work here every day until you die or decide to retire. Also, everyone in this country expects you to work here until you die as well.”
When I was a little girl I was told I wasn’t allowed to do the things that all of my boy-friends did. I was told that boys would be mean to me, because I was a girl and “boys will be boys”.
