tapa

Bark cloth made in the islands of the Pacific Ocean, primarily in Tonga and Samoa. Tapa is made from the beaten inner bark of various trees and shrubs, most commonly the paper mulberry tree. It is used for clothing, bedding and wall hangings. Web resource here.
